October CR crack down?

Appologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but I was hearing lots about the mid-October crackdown in CR. Must admit I have not seen anything, do you think it was just another 'this is the end of operators in CR' or has it just not happened yet? It was supposed to be on or around the 15th.

I think it's bullshit rumors started by people to get the books to think about leaving here. The truth is, the alternatives aren't very enticing. I think the books and CR will find a way to be in business together for a long time.

I don't think there's any reason to panic yet, but there have been some recent rumors that U.S. government is trying to pressure C.R.

Apparently the C.R. government really asked for a lot in negociations for a new trade agreement and the U.S. is trying to us that as leverage.

kaya....I heard they were applying pressure related to the Free Trade agreement too. But wouldn't those condition be the same if the books went to any other Latin American country that also was involved with Free Trade? It seems the books are running out of "outs." There's no clear cut second choice....some are looking into Belize, others Panama or the DR (what a subway toilet the DR is BTW, holy f*ck). I think a few might leave here, and not all at the same time... but the majority will stay until they're absolutely forced out.
